Our DVDs are not designed to replace the lecturer but to assist him/her by allowing students to watch techniques over again at home. Students often say that they would like to be able to watch the skills demonstrated in class over again and now they can!
Designed for Professionals
Unlike other DVDs, which are designed for amateur or home use Marlin's are aimed at the trainee professional therapist. They use the correct terminology and sequences as recommended by many professional training bodies, including the VTCT. Our DVDs also include many ‘extra features’, for example students can turn technique names on or off dependent on how they want to learn.
The DVDs also include also includes detailed information on anatomy and physiology, where appropriate. For example, in the Indian Head Massage DVD students see the underlying muscles overlaid onto the client, with detailed information on origins, insertions and which muscles each technique works upon. This helps to tie classroom A&P knowledge with what students feel when they massage a client. Students who have used the DVD during their course tell us that these A&P sections were incredibly useful! This makes it perfect as a support material if your students are undertaking a professional qualification in Indian Head Massage.

In addition, each DVD uses skilled professionals, who are experts in their field, to demonstrate the skills. For example the therapist on the Indian Head Massage DVD has over 10 years experience in teaching indian Head Massage, runs her own training centre and acts as an external verifier for holistic qualifications in many UK colleges.
